I am a writer.

Guess who this Valentine is for...

Habe Burthda!

 Grocery Lists:
Milk

The letters are all there, just not in the right order.
Grapfroot and ags
(grapefruit and eggs)

The valentine is for
Babe Brale
(Baby Bradley)

I love this phonemic spelling!

Are you a Pinner?

Pintrest has been a great way to find activities for these long winter days. We've made slime, a home made lava lamp, ice ornaments, and puffy paint. And I have many other activities pinned.

Snowmen

Rolling, rolling, rolling!

Mom, Dad and the Bos

Goo

We are always looking for ways to pass the long winter days inside.

34

Spencer used up his Birthday gift money earlier in the year so I did not have any gifts for him.  Boston decided that he still needed something.  He came out of our room just after dinner with a present he had wrapped himself.
He wrapped up one of his Dinosaur books.

Hill

Our Christmas sledding hill has turned into a very dirty sledding hill but it still is lots of fun.

Robot Shirt

Boston decided that he needed a robot shirt.  He came up with the plan to buy a white shirt and use markers to draw a robot on the shirt.  I drew the body of the robot and he did the rest.

Sunny

We took advantage of a nice sunny January day.  Boston is getting pretty good at the pogo stick.

Birthday Day

Swedish Pancake breakfast.

Last year we started doing fireworks for his birthday.  Most of watch out the window while Spencer takes care of the firework show.

Razzleberry pie.

Boston had kind of a traumatic experience with blowing out candles this year.  Tonight just after blowing the candles out he jumped out of the chair to celebrate and started screaming.  He said his toe hurt and we thought he had stubbed it but he would not calm down.  I took him into the living room to get a look at it and thought that his big toenail looked strange.  When Spencer turned on the light we saw that he had a big sliver as long as his toenail pushed just between the nail and his skin.  We got the tweezers and spent 20 minutes trying to convince him to let us get it out.  Justin and I finally had to hold him to the ground while Spencer took it out.  We are still trying to figure out exactly how that could have happened.

Birthday Party

Since his last birthday Boston  had been telling me he wanted a motor home cake for his birthday.  Thankfully he changed it to a fire truck cake just before his birthday.  I had no idea how to make a motor home cake.

I thought it would be fun to have the relighting candles.  He loves to blow the candles out so now he would be able to do it over and over again.  It started out badly because the candles spark a little and he hates sparklers.  He refused to get any where near the cake and tried to blow them out from two feet back.  Then he got so mad that they were coming back.  He started crying because he would not get his wishes.  We were all laughing which made it worse.  Finally I took him in the other room to try to calm him down.  But he was only happy after Vanessa explained that every time he blew them out he got a new wish so, these were really lots of wish candles.

A happy boy again.

Pogo Stick

Santa forgot to deliver Boston's pogo stick to our house.
Luckily Santa remembered the pogo stick just in time to drop it off at Grand and Grandpa's.
(Which may have something to do with the fact that there is nowhere to find a pogo stick around here.)

He does pretty good jumping but has a hard time balancing so Spencer holds on to the back of his jacket to help him out.  The base at the end of the pogo stick can be removed as he gets better balancing so it can be a regular pogo stick.

Cotton Candy

Spencer surprised us with a cotton candy machine.  I was surprised about a week before Christmas when it showed up on a bill and Boston was surprised when we opened it.  Since I knew about it I bought some hard candies for it (it uses any hard candy to make the cotton candy).  We tried Pina Colada (nasty), raspberry, strawberry cream and mango melon (nasty).  The first couple of tries we had little strings of cotton candy fluff flying through the air.  Then Spencer got the hang of it and started turning out little pieces of cotton candy.  It is fun to have cotton candy when ever you want.  Now we just need to find some candies that taste really good as cotton candy.

Christmas Magic

Santa turned the pirate gingerbread men that Boston made into real pirates with their own ship.

Christmas Eve Party

We had a fun night with our friends on Christmas Eve.  Everyone bought some Chinese food to share,  we played BINGO and opened presents.  Boston and Jackson kept tracking Santa on the computer and soon he was close enough that it was time for bed.

The Hill

It's back but in a new location.  The sledding hill seems to be becoming a Christmas Eve tradition.  Even though Boston had Bronchitis he spent 4 hours out on the hill.
