Biking

One of his new tricks!

Another trick!

Notice his helmet and pads,
 sometimes he gets too tricky.

The Ranch

We always love going to the ranch and seeing the animals. We were a little too late to see the pigs as little tiny babies but the goats were still small enough to hold.
Boston's a gagger just like me.  In fact I think he is more sensitive then me.  We did not stay by the stinky pigs for too long.

We were there on June 9th but it was so cold and so windy that we were bundled up in jackets.

Chalk Art Festival

One of the last days of school we used to spend an afternoon making chalk art.  Each class divided into groups and we were assigned a section of side walk.  I had so much fun so when I heard about the chalk art festival I was excited to see it.  I was amazed at the chalk art.  The theme was super heros and Boston was excited to meet some of them.  When the face painter asked what super hero he wanted he quickly said Captain America.

So You Think You Can Dance

Boston's dancing is full of poses.  He dances around and then strikes a pose. I have no idea where he learned his moves from.  He has always been an entertaining dancers.  It seems like the older he gets the funnier his dances are.

I added 2 videos because I could not figure out which one was funnier.

Natural History Museum

The new museum is worth a visit.  There are so many hands on things to do.  Boston loved the pond, the dinosaur quarry and the animal exhibits.  Tanner loved following Boston around or running away so that Boston would chase him.

Horse Loop

We took an afternoon and went for a drive on the wild horse loop. There are many wild horses in our area and this drive takes you through a part of the desert where you commonly find the horses.
After driving for a while we  came to a road leading to Pilot Butte.  We drove part way up and then hiked up until you had to climb up a narrow crevice in the rock to get to the top. Spencer pushed and hoisted Boston to get to the top of the butte.  (Of course the photos do not do justice to the steepness, height, or the narrowness of the crevice.)

They said it was amazing!

We hiked around and explored some other caves around Pilot Butte.

Towards the end of the drive we found this herd of wild horses.

Pilot Butte is in the background of this photo.
You may notice that they are branded.  The government rounds them up, brands them and then releases them.

Air Show

We huddled under this air place for about an hour and a half through a downpour.  Spencer thought that they might continue the air show after the freezing torrential downpour. But it was miserable waiting it out.  Everyone else was running out.  Some of them even left their treats and drinks behind because they were in such a hurry.
Boston loves airplanes and helicopters so we were glad we stayed when they started the show again.

We used his hood as storage for our kettle corn.

The only thing he did not like about the airshow is how loud it was.  We forgot how much he hates loud noises and how loud the planes really are.

Train Bridge

Boston has been waiting for warm weather so that he can go to the train bridge.

The wall is a little too tall for him to see over.

He tried looking under the wall.

Finally he resorted to jumping to see over the wall.

Accordian

"Oh yes, it is a beautiful day."
You can see the wind blowing in the background.  I have never seen so much wind.  We keep having days with 50+ mile an hour winds.  It is driving me crazy.  Mornings generally start out okay but after noon it picks up and by 2 it is almost unbearable to be outside.

Ladies and Gentlemen ...

Boston was the ring leader and animal trainer at the preschool's end of year program.  He announced each performer and led the parade.  He is very funny and talkative in front of a group but when you try to talk just to him he becomes very shy.

He had all of these side remarks he made to the lions and tigers, "Wow, good job." or "Oops you got your foot on the hoop a little."  It was so funny.

Rocking out Dude!

He loves this hair band music just like his dad.  Bos is a great dancer and has quite a few moves..

Graduation

He was so nervous until we got there and saw his friends,
then he was excited and very silly.

When they handed him his diploma they said that he wanted to be
a police man and a fire man when he grows up.

They sang a couple of preschool songs and
recited a poem about going to Kindergarten.

Mower

Sometimes the grounds crew is so busy that they don't make it to our house for a long time.  By then the grass is so long that it clumps up instead of just being scattered around.  Boston thinks it is a great place to play.
What my hands are green?

Oh well. It's all good!
