On your mark ...

Boston is practicing racing like they do in the Olympics. Louie has no idea what Boston is doing but he has to do it too. They would race to each corner and then get down like this and wait for me to say go again.

Babies

Boston loves babies. He loves to hold them and tries to be so helpful. He is so proud when he makes them smile. He really enjoyed having his newest cousin come for a visit.

Grandpa's Garden

Tonight we went to check Grandpa's garden and pick some carrots. The boys were so excited. They could hardly wait for the carrots to be washed so that they eat them.

Discovery Course

To start off our week of fun in Salt Lake we went to Olympic Park.  We had a great time doing the Discovery Course at Olympic Park.  Boston did really well.  He was much braver then I thought he would be.  They let Louie go on the course but he was too short to reach any of the ropes.  Spencer had to carry him most of the way through.

We also did the alpine slide and zip lines while we were there.  It was a lot of fun!

Children's Museum

At one point we thought we lost Boston.  We looked every where for him in his green tank top.  Just as I was getting worried I found him wearing the fireman coat and hat.  It was a great disguise.

The water was definitely Louie favorite part of the musuem.

Bowling

A little bowling lesson.

I brought this miniature bowling set to keep the kids entertained between turns.  It worked for 5 minutes.

Louie had a hard time understanding that he had to wait his turn but once he got the hang of it he watched viligantly for his turn.  He also learned to keep his hands away from the ball return when his fingers got smashed.

Swimmers

These boys love the water.  I can see a lot of pool time happening this summer.

More Helpers

My Dad and Justin arrived just in time to help me set up the misters in my greenhouse.  Thanks guys!

Family Party

We were able to get together with most of my cousins, aunts and uncles and have a picnic.  It was so great to see everyone but, we really missed those that could not be there.

Birthday

While we were in SLC we celebrated my birthday with my favorite Chinese food and an ice cream cake.

My mom used a bunch of leftover candles from years past.  Some of them were the relighting ones from Boston's birthday a couple of years ago.  Louie and Tanner thought it was awesome.  Boston still did not like them becasue they spark a little.

Check-Up

Boston had a cardiac MRI for his heart check-up.  They sedated him to insure that he would be still.  Everthying went very well.  It was hilarious watching him wake up.  I now know how he would act drunk.  He was so loopy.  Even at the end of the day he was having trouble walking.

Vanessa and my mom watched Louie while Spencer and I took Boston to the doctor.  Tanner and Louie were happy to see each other.

Fixes

The wind here is so terrible that it keeps blowing the greenhouse panels off the roof and walls.
The wind even picked the greenhouse up one day and moved it 6 inches.

Lexi and I have had to spend two afternoons reinforcing the walls and roof.  I'm hoping that we've done enough and I wont lose anymore panels.

My Greehouse

One of the things I miss most about home is my garden.  The growing season here is too short to grow most things here so I got a greenhouse.

My good friends on grounds crew took 2 afternoons and helped me put it together.

All done!  Sort of ...

Everything is planted and ready to grow!

A Dream Come True

Boston got to take a trip to the dump in the garbage truck. We put his car seat in the garbage tuck and away they went.  He even got McDs on the way home. He was in heaven!

Field Day

Wahoo!

It took the kids a few minutes to rotate between actvites so I'd let Louie go down the slide twice in between  groups.

Girls Day

Shopping, eating, laughing and

and ziplining!!!

What an adventure.
